The rules that govern your use of Go Rocco

1 Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Go Rocco mobile application ("the App") and related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
Go Rocco Ltd ("Go Rocco", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
2 Eligibility
To use Go Rocco, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the UK and some EU jurisdictions)
- If under 18, have parental or guardian consent
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using our Services under applicable law
- Create only one account per person
3 Account Registration
To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4 Acceptable Use
4.1 You Agree To:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Respect other users and their pets
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your pets
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Report any safety concerns or policy violations
4.2 You Agree NOT To:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or offensive
- Share content depicting animal cruelty or abuse
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Spam, advertise, or engage in commercial solicitation without authorization
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the App without permission
- Create multiple accounts or accounts for others
- Share explicit or sexually suggestive content
- Harass, bully, or stalk other users
5 User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). By posting content, you grant Go Rocco a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App.
5.2 Content Standards
User Content must not infringe intellectual property rights, contain illegal material, include personal information of others without consent, depict animal abuse, or violate any applicable laws.
5.3 Content Moderation
We use automated systems and human moderators to review content. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice. You can appeal moderation decisions through the App.
5.4 Content Removal
You can delete your own content at any time. Deleted content may persist in backups for up to 30 days.
6 Pet Safety
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the safety and well-being of your pets, decisions made based on information in the App, and supervision of your pets during activities.
Hazard Reports: Hazard reports are user-submitted and not verified. Do not rely solely on the App for safety decisions. Always assess conditions yourself.
Health Information: Pet health features are for informational purposes only and do not replace professional veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions.
7 Location Services
Location tracking requires your explicit consent. You can enable or disable location services at any time in Settings. Your real-time location during walks is NOT shared with other users unless you explicitly enable "Live Location Sharing" for a specific walk.
Do not use the App while driving or in situations requiring your full attention.
8 Subscriptions & Auto-Renewable Purchases
Go Rocco Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional features in the App.
8.1 Subscription Plans
- Go Rocco Premium Monthly: £2.99 per month, billed monthly
- Go Rocco Premium Yearly: £23.99 per year (£2.00/month), billed yearly
Prices shown are in British Pounds (GBP). Actual prices may vary by country and are confirmed in the App Store or Google Play Store at the time of purchase.
8.2 Premium Features
Go Rocco Premium includes:
- Extended Walk Detection (100m range)
- Multi-Pet Support (unlimited profiles)
- Lost Pet Alert Boosting (priority alerts)
- Pet Health Dashboard (vet records, reminders)
- Group Chats & Voice Messages
- Ad-Free Experience
- 2x Points on all activities
- 10% off all marketplace bookings
- Streak Protection (3 freezes/month)
- Apple Watch App
- Exclusive premium badge
- Priority support
8.3 Billing & Renewal
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period at the same price.
- Price changes: If we change subscription prices, we will notify you in advance. Any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
8.4 Free Trials
We may offer free trial periods from time to time. If a free trial is offered:
- The free trial period will be specified at the time of the offer.
- At the end of the free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
8.5 Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS: Go to your device Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Go Rocco Premium, or manage via the App Store.
- Android: Go to Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Go Rocco Premium.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until that date. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
8.6 Restore Purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription using the "Restore Purchases" button on the subscription screen.
9 Marketplace & Payments
9.1 Purchases
Physical goods and non-subscription services are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
9.2 Refunds
Refund policies vary by seller. Digital items are generally non-refundable. UK consumers have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact support for disputes.
9.3 Third-Party Sellers
Some products may be sold by third parties. Go Rocco is not responsible for third-party products or services.
10 Groups and Events
Group administrators may set additional rules. Event organizers are responsible for their events. Go Rocco is not liable for incidents at user-organized events. Exercise caution when meeting other users in person - meet in public places and inform someone of your plans.
11 Intellectual Property
The Go Rocco App, including its design, features, content, and branding, is owned by Go Rocco Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our Service without permission.
12 Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (maps, payment processors, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
13 Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, the accuracy of user-submitted content, the safety of in-person meetings, the outcome of lost pet searches, or the suitability of any pet-related advice.
14 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GO ROCCO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR (B) £100.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Go Rocco harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
16 Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@go-rocco.com to attempt informal resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
17 Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
18 General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Go Rocco.
Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later.
Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control.
